Something Great

Hi!

I'm Tabish, and I'm a girl dad to an almost-three-year-old daughter.

 

I've been thinking of a way to honor her since she was born, and show her how proud I am to be her father, and to be a girl dad.

In 2022, I started toying with the idea of a hat brand, and in August 2023, I started working on designs and samples.

 

It took a lonnnnnng time to get here.

 

I wanted the hats to be high quality.

Something I can wear for extended periods of time.

Something I can be comfortable in.

Something that would fit my head well (most hats are either too small around my head, or sit too high).

Something that I can wear in both semi formal and casual situations.

 

That determined the colors, the materials, the logo, the embroidery.

 

I worked on everything to fine tune it. The diameter of the hat, where the buckram would sit in relation to the embroidery, the stitching and the curvature of the brim.

 

I worked with several suppliers and factories to get the quality and price right. 

 

And ended up with one manufacturer that can really deliver on the quality.

 

No random Ali Baba store drop-shipping my orders, no print-on-demand stores.

 

What you see today, is a culmination of my stress, anxiety, and demand that I wear only the best hat.

 

But why?

 

All for really one reason, if I think about it.

 

To show my daughter that with persistence, grit, thoughtfulness, empathy, and uncompromising standards, that she can build something great.
